Nouryon provides a comprehensive range of organic peroxide initiators for the production of low density polyethylene (LDPE) and ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymers. We offer all standard types of peroxides for autoclave and tubular technologies.

An overview of all organic peroxide initiators can be found in our brochure.

Organic peroxide activity

The most important criteria for selecting the right initiator is activity, expressed by initiator half-life and is the time required to reduce the original initiator content at a given temperature by 50%.

  • Highly active organic peroxides for LDPE have a one hour half-life temperature below 100°C
  • Medium active organic peroxides have a one hour half-life temperature in the range of 100-130°C
  • Low active organic peroxides have a one hour half-life temperature above 130°C.

Check out the half-life chart for an overview of all organic peroxide activities.

Increase LDPE reactor output with Trigonox® 301

We are committed to our customer’s success. That's why we continually invest in high quality products, innovation, safety, active technical support, better packaging and improved distribution systems.

Trigonox 301 is a trifunctional organic peroxide with a higher decomposition temperature than commonly used Trigonox B (Di-tert-butyl peroxide) for high temperature initiation in LDPE production.

Use of Trigonox 301 in place of Trigonox B can result in an increase in the plant output, not to mention the increased safety aspects in storage and handling of the organic peroxide and lower decomposition products in the final polymer product.
